- C45 Value Engineering initiative as part of weight reduction from Bar to tube. A Rocker Arm Assembly is a group of several Rocker Arms, a rocker shaft, rocker arm brackets, spacers, springs and supports. These components are pre-assembled into groups in such a way that the system can be mounted directly on the engine head and it can be easily ready to use. This parts can be supplied separately also as per requirements.
Many engines with rocker shafts are designed with springs between the rockers or between the rocker and mounting, with the goal of separating the rockers. In some systems with rocker shafts as well, pinning the rocker shafts to preserve rocker separation is another technique utilized, but springs help ensure zero side-to-side loose play and noise even as these parts deteriorate. When compared to drill and pinning solutions, rocker shafts with springs also allow quick assembly and disassembly.
